Today I got diagnosed by a chronic condition. I went to hospital casually thinking I was okay hoping that I would be up and back to my feet quickly only to be called aside by the laboratory technician (a situation that never happens) to ask me if I knew about the condition. Honestly I didn’t think much into it until the doctor went into emergency mode and I was thinking he was overly dramatic. Immediately I was admitted and then it hit me that the Doctors were serious. My mind went to my children I needed to hold them close to me and tell them that I love them so much. The other thing that went through my mind was I had failed my body and it was failing me. Honestly I needed immediate encouragement I kept believing for this not to be true but a second test confirmed the nightmare. I remember the way the Doctor delivered the news felt cold and emotionaless I wanted to shout back and tell him that this was not my portion. I ended up preaching to the Jr nurse telling him how he needed Christ that heals and cures the body. Honestly my hope is in Christ alone, it’s only him that can bring my body back into balance. I have seen him move so mightly in the lives of my children. I have a very loud family, hospital time means loud, laughter, teasing and bullying and gwe get up carry your mat and walk! This wasn’t the case this time round. They heard the Doctor talk to me and after he left there was dead silence in the room! Each of my siblings and my mum came to me one at a time encouraging me to trust in the Lord. Hmmm I rejoice in the Lord and again I say Alex rejoice!
